Jim Maurer is co-founder of 360 Data Sciencesm, LLC and serves as our Head of Analytics, Data Scientist, and resident Boy Scout. Jim has had a variety of analytical and marketing positions most recently as Group Vice President responsible for all US Analytics at Catalina Marketing. At Catalina Jim oversaw all of the analytics conducted on behalf of dozens of major packaged goods manufacturers and retailers. In this role Jim managed a geographically dispersed team of over 70 Programmers, Analysts and Statisticians.
Immediately prior to Catalina Jim worked as a Consultant to the Allstate Insurance Company designing and implementing improvements in the business processes between IT and Marketing. Jim began his career at Information Resources (IRI) where he worked in a variety of roles including Vice President of International Development and Director of Analytic Consulting. Jim received his MBA from the Booth School at the University of Chicago in 2000. He also has a Master’s in Economics, with a focus in the areas of Econometrics and Statistics from Northern Illinois University. With a passion for lifelong learning and in recognition of the pace of technological change, Jim is currently completing a certification in Web Development from Harper College.
Jim's interest in non profit services is the product of his lifelong involvement with the Boy Scouts of America. An Eagle Scout, Jim has been involved with the Scouting movement as both a youth and adult, at multiple levels, and in a variety of functions. For example, for the past four summers Jim has worked as part of a team to deliver advanced leadership training to the next generation of Scouting volunteers. In addition to his involvement with Scouting, Jim has also been actively involved in local efforts to deliver housing, his community church, as well as in select political campaigns.
Jim resides in Arlington Heights, Illinois with his wife and their two 18 year-old twin sons. When he is not working at the intersection of data, analytics, technology, and non profits Jim enjoys backpacking, canoeing, kayaking, yoga, the occasional run, and taking extended motorcycle trips.
Thad Aaron Halcli, is co-founder of 360 Data Sciencesm, LLC and serves as Head of Marketing, Media Orchestration, Project Management, and Boy Next Door.
Thad’s 20 years of experience in the digital and marketing space features work on behalf of hundreds of non profit and commercial brands. This includes federal and state agencies, associations, philanthropic groups, consumer brands, and media companies. His work spans creating and promoting desktop web sites, membership list/data management, e-mail marketing, mobile/tablet apps and social media. He also has extensive experience in print advertising and direct mail.
A film school graduate (SIUC), Thad is also a 25 year veteran of television and film production. Having produced his first feature film at only 18, he went on to found 3 production companies, creating series television, numerous documentaries, multiple feature films, and hundreds of television commercial/non-profit spots.
An early participant in the online world, he played a key role in helping to shape national digital brands, such as cars.com and Careerbuilder. He went on to orchestrate their rollout in over 100 local markets throughout the US.
Thad’s interest in the non-profit space began in college, when he created a 501c3 group to educate young people in visual media skills. Since those early beginnings, his partnership efforts have ranged from the American Red Cross to PBS, the March of Dimes, and dozens of other groups.
Prior to starting 360 Data Sciencesm, he worked for USA TODAY and various divisions within the Gannett Company for 17 years. An avid runner, Thad is also a highly competitive, nationally ranked chili chef whose recipes have won both local and national competitions.
Maria Barnes serves as the 360 Data Sciencesm Digital Content Producer. With more than 25 years of experience producing and directing media products for non-profit, commercial and government clients, Maria has developed a keen sense of storytelling. She excels at creating marketing and informational materials, working with graphics and digital content production teams, and overseeing quality control.
Maria’s talents as a writer have led to her writing scripts; newsletters; awards ceremonies; proposals; magazine articles; technical manuals; monthly reports; brochures; website content; and other communications products. In addition to producing an award winning feature film, her television credits include several nationally syndicated series for PBS and a series that was distributed to NBC, CBS and ABC affiliates nationwide.
Maria received a Bachelor of Arts degree in both International Studies and French from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio and attended the University of Paris IV (La Sorbonne) as an undergraduate. She earned a Master of Arts in Film & Video from The American University in Washington, DC.
A senior member of Women in Film & Video (WIFV) and co-founder of TIVA (Television, Internet & Video Association), Maria has been an adjunct faculty member of both The American University and Northern Virginia Community College, where she taught courses in film and video production.
